The driveway exit sensor is a magnetic device that installs below ground beside the drive. A magnetic field is established which when interrupted by a metal object will send a signal to open the gate. ACCESSORY WIRING INFORMATION
All accessories must be 12 VDC compatible and have less than a 10ma current draw in stand by mode. Solar Friendly accessories recommended will have less than a 2ma current draw in stand by mode.
These devices will typically all wire as described below:
1.
+12 VDC power will connect to J2 pin 1
2. Accessory ground will connect to J2 pin 2
3. The common for the accessory relay common is a ground connection connect to J2 pin 2
The accessory relay N/O is the command line and will connect to the input of the control board that provides the function desired from the accessory being installed. For example if a photo eye is being wired for safety (keep gate from closing on a car) then it connects to J2 pin 5. If this device was being installed to Open the gate when activated it would wire to J2 pin 3. |
